dc.descriptionLearning the normal anatomy is a must for interpreting any imaging study. Posterior-anterior and lateral chest X-rays are complementary studies that enable the evaluation of the various structures occupying the thoracic cavity and knowing the normal anatomic appearance is the first step towards proper reading of one of the most frequently required images in daily clinical practice. Together, these two views allow for the evaluation of the mediastinal structures, the heart, the hila, the lung fields, and even the thoracic wall and the soft tissues. This article systematically addresses the thorax anatomy.en-US
dc.descriptionConocer la anatomía normal es un requisito indispensable para la interpretación de cualquier estudio imagenológico. Las radiografías posteroanterior y lateral de tórax son estudios complementarios que permiten la evaluación de las diferentes estructuras que ocupan la cavidad torácica y conocer la apariencia anatómica normal es el primer paso para una lectura adecuada de uno de los estudios más solicitados en la práctica clínica diaria. En conjunto las dos proyecciones permiten evaluar las estructuras mediastinales, corazón, hilios, campos pulmonares e incluso pared torácica y tejidos blandos. En éste artículo se aborda sistemáticamente la anatomía normal del tórax.es-ES
